Bethan Richards

Profile (by Jon)

Beth brings right hand side brain thinking to Cinch.  Beyond great ideas, she has a very creative and intuitive approach to problem solving.  An antidote to “we’ve always done it like that” her clear strengths are brand execution online and ensuring a website works for the user. Oddly enough, contrary to the perceived wisdom that creatives don’t always make the best project managers she is more than a touch methodical and brilliant at making things happen. Her chart of choice is definitely the Gantt chart.  For that reason she looks after a lot of the production work at Cinch and in that role loves the dynamics of working with a team and is a master at making sure everyone involved is working to their strengths and delivering their best.

Experience

Her early years were crammed with activities – ski racing, basketball, hiking and climbing. Having spent her formative years wondering how she would combine her love for sport and art in a future career she let her passion guide her towards a sports marketing degree, but not before studying visual arts at Leeds, working in graphic design and partnering the launch of a snowboard clothing company in New Zealand.  She worked for the British Heart Foundation and the National Museum and Gallery before moving to the Wales Tourist Board and heading up the creative and production side of their product marketing– across online and offline. And more recently in more detail

Strengths

Brand positioning, developing a brand and planning creative communications. Developing strong communication ideas and executing the brand across integrated online and offline campaigns. Project and programme management – driving a marketing project from specification through development, testing and launch. Endless enthusiasm for working collaboratively, pulling people together and making things happen. A passion for graphic communication. I love pictures, words and design … and Jaffa Cakes.

Interests

Surfing, running, biking, BBQs and Beer Gardens.  All forms of aestheticism.  Her living room smells of rich mahogany and she has many leather bound books.  Leaning green. There is just no excuse
